I am about to put together a study plan, and to avoid reinventing the wheel, i did a quick web search and here is what i got :
- A full study planner for CCIE R&S v5 Lab Blueprint shared by Christophe Lucas
- And a Google doc spreadsheet with a detailed R&S v5 WRITTEN blueprint (without Evolving Technologies added to v5.1) shared by Billy Downing
First thing first, the check list :

- CCIE R&S Written
- Talk to family about your goal
